Danesfort, Paeroa
14th May 1902.
Dear Partridge,
A very large meeting of the Thames and Waikato tribes, has been
convened by Mahuta, and will be held at Wahi near Huntly on Tuesday
the 20th inst. I shall be there on Saturday next. If you wish me to
get up a party for a war dance you better let me know at once.
About the 21st would be the best time for you and your photographer
to be present. Wire to me as soon as you receive this, unless there
is time to write before Saturday which there ought to be. If I am
to organise a party shall require a little cash as I shall have to
treat a few of them.
I remain,
Yours truly,
James Mackay
