Mr H.M. Stowell (Hare Hongi)
Native Interpreter,
219 Willis St,

Dear Mr Stowell,
A very old friend of mine, writes me about the subject of
ancient Maori Mokos. To give you a clear idea of his request, I
have enclosed herein a copy of his letter, and sketch. If you can
give me any reliable information on the point, I shall consider it
a favour, but will be pleased to remunerate you for any time that
you may devote to the subject.
With kind rememorances to yourself and Mrs Stowell.
I remain,
Yours faithfully,
H.E. Partridge
P.S. I have added several new pictures to my collection, which I
hope you will call and inspect on your next visit to Auckland.
